Saudi footballer Fahad Al Muwallad, a key player for Al Shabab and the Saudi national team, remains in intensive care following a serious accident in Dubai last week. The 30-year-old winger reportedly fell from the balcony of his second-floor residence on September 12 while vacationing in the UAE.

As of today, medical teams continue to closely monitor his condition, while authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall.

According to a statement released by the Dubai Media Office, initial investigations revealed that the fall occurred while Al Muwallad was on the balcony of his Dubai home. The exact circumstances leading to the fall are still under investigation, with the Dubai Police General Command confirming that further details will be shared once the investigation concludes.

Medical condition and ongoing care

Al Muwallad he has been receiving intensive medical care. The Dubai Police emphasized that the footballer’s health remains a priority as medical professionals work diligently to provide the necessary care.

The Saudi Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai are also closely involved in the situation, ensuring the player receives full support during this challenging time.

In an official statement, Al Shabab Football Club conveyed that Saudi Arabia's Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, along with the Saudi Football Federation and diplomatic authorities, are directly overseeing Al Muwallad's recovery.

Al Muwallad is a seasoned player, having earned 74 caps for the Saudi national team and scoring 17 goals. A product of Al Ittihad's youth system, he debuted for the club in 2011 and went on to make nearly 250 appearances, netting 76 goals. In 2018, he briefly joined La Liga side Levante on loan, appearing in two matches.

In 2022, he left his boyhood club to join Al Shabab, where he has since played 38 matches and scored twice. He made his debut for the national team in 2012 and has since appeared in 78 international matches
