The meeting brought together Spain’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UAE Minister of State Lana Nusseibeh, according to state-run WAM news agency.

Both sides expressed their commitment to further developing their strategic partnership and to establishing a structured framework for cooperation across priority areas.

Both ministers highlighted a positive and constructive exchange held in Madrid between anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing experts.

They said the exchange was valuable in strengthening international cooperation and deepening mutual understanding.

Nusseibeh reaffirmed the UAE’s preparedness and continued commitment to its ongoing Financial Action Task Force mutual evaluation process.

The ministers also exchanged views on their humanitarian and diplomatic efforts related to Sudan, Ukraine and Gaza.

They reiterated their commitment to contributing to international peace and security based on the principles of the UN Charter and international law.

Both sides agreed to continue close coordination in support of their shared vision for regional stability, prosperity and integration.
