President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan marked the UAE’s 53rd National Day, known as Eid Al Etihad, with a handwritten letter expressing his gratitude to the nation’s people.

In the letter, posted on X, Sheikh Mohamed addressed both citizens and residents. “On the occasion of Eid Al Etihad, we take pride in the UAE and its people,” he wrote. “Thank you for your determination, your efforts, and all that you do for this nation.”

National Day celebrations across the UAE are in full swing, with public and private institutions marking the occasion through events, parades, and cultural showcases. The day commemorates the unification of the emirates in 1971, an event that has since become a symbol of national pride and identity.
