UAE adds 19 individuals and entities to terrorism list for Muslim Brotherhood links
The UAE has placed 19 individuals and UK-based entities on its terrorism list for their alleged connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, which the country considers a terrorist organization. This decision, under Resolution No. (1) of 2025, was approved by the UAE Cabinet.
The list includes 11 individuals from various countries such as Sweden, Turkey, the UAE, and Yemen, as well as 8 entities based in the United Kingdom. These individuals and organizations are believed to have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and are now subject to the UAE's counterterrorism laws.
The UAE aims to combat terrorism and prevent the financing of terrorist activities, both locally and internationally. Financial institutions in the UAE are required to take necessary actions according to local regulations.
