UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a telephone call on Friday with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments, according to the UAE state news agency WAM.
Sheikh Abdullah, who also serves as deputy prime minister, and Abdelatty reviewed relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Egypt and explored ways to enhance cooperation in line with the interests of both countries and their peoples.
The ministers also discussed broader regional developments, with a focus on the Middle East, and underscored the importance of supporting efforts aimed at promoting security and stability across the region, according to the report.
During the call, the two sides highlighted the importance of implementing all phases of a plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
They also stressed the need to strengthen humanitarian responses to meet the needs of civilians in the Gaza Strip, according to the statement.
