The United Arab Emirates’ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held phone discussions with several international counterparts to address the repercussions of Iran’s unprovoked missile attacks on the UAE and other countries in the region, WAM reported.

Abdullah bin Zayed spoke with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, Spain’s Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares, France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot, and Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev.

The conversations focused on the serious implications of the attacks for regional security, global economic stability, and energy security.

All parties strongly condemned the missile strikes, describing them as unprovoked acts of terrorism that violate international law and the UN Charter, while posing direct threats to state security, sovereignty, and regional stability. They also affirmed the right of targeted nations to take all necessary measures to protect their territorial integrity and ensure the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors, in line with international law.

During the calls, Abdullah bin Zayed expressed gratitude for the solidarity shown by international partners and reassured that all residents and visitors in the UAE remain safe.

The discussions further highlighted the need to strengthen international cooperation to preserve regional security and stability, and to support inclusive development and sustainable economic prosperity across the region.
