UAE President meets with heads of states at COP29 in Azerbaijan
Event takes place during Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Azerbaijan, where he is attending the COP29 climate conference
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has met several heads of states and delegation leaders on the sidelines of the COP29 climate conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed met on Tuesday with President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán, as well as Zeljka Cvijanovic, member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dinner in Baku
This comes a day after Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed hosted a dinner in Baku for Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah of Jordan, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The event took place during Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Azerbaijan, where he is attending the COP29 climate conference, WAM reported.
Sheikh Mohamed and his guests discussed the UAE’s relationships with Jordan, Belarus, and Albania, highlighting their commitment to deepening ties for mutual benefit.
They also emphasized the importance of COP29, which runs from November 11 to 22, in advancing global climate initiatives.
