UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on Dec. 26 for a one-day official visit to Pakistan, sources confirmed.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed is the president of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Abu Dhabi.

During the visit, he will hold high-level meetings with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the chief of army staff and chief of defense forces, and senior civil and military leadership.

The meetings are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas including the economy, investment, energy, defense collaboration and regional security.

Matters of mutual interest, regional developments and ways to enhance the strategic partnership are also likely to be discussed.

Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates share long-standing fraternal relations based on common values, mutual trust and close people-to-people ties.

The UAE remains one of Pakistan’s most important economic and strategic partners, providing financial assistance, development support and investment in sectors including energy, infrastructure, banking, ports and real estate.

A large Pakistani expatriate community in the UAE continues to play a key role in strengthening bilateral ties.

The visit comes as Pakistan seeks foreign investment and broader economic cooperation to support its reform agenda and economic stabilization efforts.

Discussions are expected to cover ongoing and future UAE investment projects in Pakistan, trade expansion, and enhanced defense and security cooperation.

The visit reflects the strength of Pakistan-UAE relations and underscores a shared commitment to deepen cooperation at the highest level.
