UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call Sunday with Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments, WAM reported.
The two leaders reviewed the close ties between Syria and the United Arab Emirates and discussed strategies to enhance bilateral collaboration for the mutual benefit of their countries and citizens.
According to state media, the two leaders exchanged views on significant regional developments, focusing on issues of mutual concern.
Sheikh Zayed reaffirmed the Emirates’ commitment to supporting efforts that fulfill the aspirations of the Syrian people for stability, development, and a future marked by security and prosperity.
Syrian President Al-Sharaa expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s steadfast support for the Syrian people, as well as its firm position on preserving Syria’s stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
He also commended the UAE’s constructive role in advancing peace and stability in the region amid escalating challenges.
