Dr. Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, emphasized the need for lasting peace through an independent Palestinian state in a message shared on X.

A vision for a two-state solution

Dr. Gargash reiterated the UAE’s call for a two-state solution as the path to lasting peace in the region, hours after the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect on Jan. 19.

He also criticized biased media coverage of the conflict and stressed the urgency of establishing an independent Palestinian state.

The UAE’s leadership continues to work closely with international allies to address the humanitarian crisis while advocating for a sustainable resolution to the conflict.

UAE steps up humanitarian efforts

In line with its commitment to global humanitarian causes, the UAE has intensified relief efforts for Gaza through "Operation Chivalrous Knight 3."

More than 29,500 tons of essential supplies, including food, shelter, and medical aid, have been delivered to alleviate the dire conditions faced by residents.

Two additional aid convoys recently crossed into Gaza through the Rafah border crossing, providing critical support to the most vulnerable populations.
