UAE’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, meets Massad Boulos, the US President’s Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs in Washington.

The UAE’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met with Massad Boulos, the US President’s Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, during a working visit to Washington, WAM reported.

The two officials discussed ways to strengthen strategic relations and enhance cooperation across multiple sectors to reinforce security, stability, and mutual interests at regional and international levels.

During the meeting, Abdullah bin Zayed highlighted the depth and diversity of UAE-US relations, emphasizing the importance of building on existing partnerships and expanding collaboration in priority areas to support sustainable development in both countries.

The discussion also focused on joint initiatives in Africa, with an emphasis on enhancing coordination to support development and stability, helping fulfill the aspirations of African nations for growth and prosperity.

The officials addressed the ongoing civil war in Sudan, stressing the urgent need for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians affected by the conflict. Abdullah bin Zayed welcomed US efforts to prevent the situation in Sudan from worsening, praising Washington for hosting the humanitarian conference and the Quad meeting as vital steps to maintain international engagement amid the prolonged war.

He also acknowledged Boulos’s close follow-up on the Sudan file, noting his contributions toward advancing ceasefire negotiations, coordinating humanitarian response efforts, protecting civilians, and supporting a political solution leading to an independent civilian government.

Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to continuing cooperation with the United States and its regional and international partners to support dialogue, de-escalation, and sustainable political solutions, contributing to peace, security, and development in the region and globally.

The meeting was attended by UAE Minister of State Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, and UAE Ambassador to the United States, Yousef Manea Al Otaiba.
