Woman falls to death from high-rise in Business Bay
Police have not disclosed victim's identity or nationality as investigations continue
A young woman has tragically fallen to her death from a high-rise residential building in Dubai’s Business Bay district, prompting an investigation by authorities.
The incident occurred in the Escape Tower, near Sheikh Zayed Road, and was reported around 5am on Monday. Authorities have yet to confirm the woman's identity or nationality.
According to reports, the woman is believed to have fallen from a balcony of the 38-storey building. Police and paramedics responded swiftly to the scene, cordoning off the area near the RTA car park, next to the Second Home café.
Witnesses noted yellow tape stretching from the café to a nearby salon as the investigation commenced, media reports said.
Escape Tower is a popular residence for young professionals due to its proximity to the Business Bay Metro Station. Residents in nearby buildings, including Al Batha Tower, reported hearing police sirens in the early morning hours.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Further details are expected as the investigation unfolds.
