According to WAM, the 12th edition of the annual summit, running until Feb. 14, has drawn record international participation. It features discussions on emerging trends in governance, technology, and critical sectors shaping the future.

Key speakers include Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Polish President Andrzej Duda, and Sri Lankan President Kumara Dissanayake.

Other notable participants include Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, and former UK Prime Minister Sir Tony Blair. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also attend the event.

The opening day features several dedicated forums, including discussions on artificial intelligence, the future of work, education, mobility, gender balance, and government communication.

Mohammad Al-Gergawi, UAE minister of Cabinet affairs and chairman of the World Governments Summit, emphasized the summit’s role in helping governments adapt to rapid transformations.

“The summit is committed to being the premier global platform to anticipate and explore the future, developing innovative solutions and forging international partnerships to benefit all communities based on scientifically and realistically grounded insights,” he said.

The final day will include high-level discussions at the Climate Change Forum, the World Health Forum, and the World Government Law Making Forum.

Held annually in Dubai, WGS serves as a platform for global collaboration, bringing together heads of state, international organizations, and private-sector leaders to shape policies and strategies for the future.
