Abu Dhabi is set to host HYROX, the world’s largest indoor fitness race, on July 19, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, WAM reported.
Organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in partnership with HYROX, the event will take place as part of Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) under the ADNEC Group umbrella. It also represents a key achievement for Project 206, the company leading HYROX’s expansion into the Middle East.
HYROX is one of the fastest-growing race formats worldwide, designed to cater to participants of all fitness levels — from beginners to elite athletes. The competition involves eight 1-kilometre runs, each followed by a functional workout, providing a comprehensive challenge of stamina, speed, and strength.
Participants can compete solo, in pairs (male, female, or mixed), or in teams of four in the relay category. Pro divisions are available for advanced athletes, while an Adaptive Division ensures athletes with physical disabilities can also join, highlighting the event’s commitment to inclusivity.
As one of the region’s fastest-growing hubs for endurance sports and fitness events, Abu Dhabi continues to enhance its international profile by hosting world-class competitions at premier venues such as ADNEC.
HYROX Abu Dhabi is expected to draw participants and spectators from across the UAE and beyond, offering a dynamic and inclusive platform that celebrates athletic performance, community spirit, and healthy living, the report added.
