Abu Dhabi has emerged as a global leader in IVF treatment, achieving a success rate of over 51%, one of the highest worldwide. This milestone further cements the UAE’s position as a hub for medical excellence and cutting-edge reproductive healthcare.

According to the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), 695 childbirths were delivered through IVF in 2024, highlighting the emirate’s commitment to advancing fertility treatments and ensuring high-quality assisted reproductive services.

Infertility affects one in six adults globally, impacting 17.5% of the world’s population, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Abu Dhabi has taken proactive steps to address these challenges by implementing robust regulations, investing in innovative treatments, and ensuring access to world-class reproductive care.

Dr. Fayeza Alyafei, Executive Director of the Healthcare Quality Sector at DoH, emphasized the emirate’s dedication to evolving reproductive health services, positioning Abu Dhabi as a destination for patients seeking specialized fertility treatments from across the region.

With 14 licensed IVF facilities, 45 maternal and delivery centers, and over 2,800 healthcare professionals, Abu Dhabi continues to lead advancements in reproductive medicine, combining innovation, expertise, and research to improve patient outcomes and redefine global fertility care.
