Neo-culture festival BRED Abu Dhabi has announced the initial lineup, featuring a diverse roster of regional hip-hop stars.
The Synaptik, Asayel, and Karim Osama will perform live at Yas Island during the five-day festival, taking place from April 23rd to 27th. To further excite fans, the artists have collaborated on a new exclusive track, " Hena," set to be released on January 28th.
The Synaptik, a.k.a. Laith Al Husseini is a Palestinian-Jordanian artist known for his introspective lyrics and distinctive voice, will bring his socially conscious rap to the stage. Addressing themes of mental health, migration, and social inequality, The Synaptik has garnered a dedicated following in the Arabic rap scene.
Saudi rapper and singer Asayel's music blends rap, R&B, and pop, drawing on her heritage. Her debut single, Asliyah, features Hejazi slang from her Saudi roots.
Egyptian artist Karim Osama combines rap, electronic, and Mahraganat-inspired Egyptian pop to create energetic, vibrant tracks.
More acts will be announced soon, but last year’s edition of BRED Abu Dhabi included the likes of Don Toliver, Ty Dolla Sign and Metro Boomin. The festival is a celebration of neo-culture, streetwear, art, street food, and sports across the region, rooted in Arab identity.
