In a move towards promoting religious understanding and community cohesion, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) has teamed up with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) to introduce the "Ajyal" programme.

This initiative, part of the broader "Gharas Al-Khayr" initiative, aims to foster mutual understanding and enhance religious awareness among school students across Dubai.

"Ajayal" aims to build a comprehensive understanding of religious values and enhance the overall educational experience.

Interactive learning platform

At the heart of the Ajyal program is an interactive platform that includes a variety of educational activities. Students will benefit from lectures, dialogues, and workshops led by a select group of qualified speakers and educational specialists.

These sessions are tailored to enhance communication skills and deepen students' understanding of religious values in a manner that is engaging and relevant to their educational journey. IACAD Director-General Ahmed Darwish Al-Mehairi emphasized the importance of this programme, saying:

"The launch of the 'Ajyal' programme represents a crucial step toward achieving our vision of fostering a collaborative language to meet our goals. By creating an environment conducive to learning for students, parents, and educational bodies, we are leveraging the department’s resources to enhance institutional collaboration across Dubai."

Impact on educational environment

The programme is more than just a series of educational events; it is a strategic effort to create a more connected and informed community. By addressing both students and their families, as well as the educational staff, Ajyal aims to build a comprehensive understanding of religious values and enhance the overall educational experience.
