Private schools in Dubai will observe the Eid al-Adha holiday from Monday, May 25, to Friday, May 29, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority has confirmed.
The break follows the unified academic calendar. Classes are scheduled to resume on Monday, June 1.

Dubai private schools will close from Monday, May 25, and reopen on Monday, June 1, 2026.
The five-day Eid al-Adha holiday runs through Friday, May 29, covering students, teachers and administrative staff at private educational institutions across the emirate.
When is Eid al-Adha expected to fall this year?
Eid al-Adha is expected to begin on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, based on astronomical calculations.
The dates were indicated by Ibrahim Al Jarwan, chairman of the board of directors of the Emirates Astronomical Society and a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences.
As with all Islamic holidays, the final dates remain subject to the official moon sighting.
