Dubai authorities have announced adjusted paid parking hours across the emirate for the holy month of Ramadan, providing motorists with a daily two-hour free parking window around sunset, Khaleej Times reported.

According to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), public parking fees will apply in two daily phases from Monday to Saturday: between 8am and 6pm, and again from 8pm to midnight. Parking will be free between 6pm and 8pm, coinciding with Maghrib prayers and the time when residents break their fasts.

The RTA confirmed that multi-story parking facilities will continue to operate around the clock without interruption throughout Ramadan.

Earlier, Dubai’s toll operator Salik also announced revised operating hours for the holy month, aligning traffic management measures with altered daily routines.

In addition, the RTA released updated schedules for public transport services, used by a large segment of Dubai’s population during Ramadan.

Dubai Metro services

Both the Red Line and Green Line will operate:

  • Monday to Thursday: 5am to midnight
  • Friday: 5am to 1am (the following day)
  • Saturday: 5am to midnight
  • Sunday: 8am to midnight

Dubai Tram services

  • Monday to Saturday: 6am to 1am (the following day)
  • Sunday: 9am to 1am (the following day)

For public bus services, commuters have been advised to check updated routes and timings through the S’hail app, while passengers using marine transport can consult the RTA’s website for revised schedules.

The authority also said adjusted working hours would apply to its customer happiness centersand related service providers, including vehicle inspection centers, during Ramadan.
