Dubai expands flexible working with new ‘Work from Park’ initiative

The 'Work from Park' concept creates accessible workspaces in green areas, supporting evolving work patterns and lifestyles

WAM

Dubai Municipality has introduced a new initiative aimed at transforming public parks into flexible work-friendly environments that combine productivity with outdoor living, WAM reported.

The “Work from Park” concept is designed to create modern, accessible workspaces within green areas, enhancing their appeal while supporting evolving work patterns and lifestyles.

As part of the rollout, Dubai Municipality has signed cooperation agreements with Group AMANA and Letswork to develop and operate purpose-built work facilities across selected parks in the emirate.

The initiative aligns with broader urban development strategies, including the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, and reflects efforts to expand the role of public spaces as multi-use destinations that support economic activity and community engagement.

The first site under the program is scheduled to open in May 2026 at Al Barsha Pond Park, featuring modular work units integrated with the natural surroundings and built to sustainability standards. Additional locations are expected to follow later in the year.

Group AMANA, through its DuBox platform, will lead the construction of the initial site using modular building techniques, while Letswork will oversee operations, offering access to a network of flexible workspaces such as desks, meeting areas, and creative studios.

The partnership will also support entrepreneurs, freelancers and content creators by providing tailored work environments, alongside programs aimed at skills development and collaboration.

Officials say the project will be delivered through a public-private partnership model, with the aim of encouraging investment and supporting the growth of an innovation-driven urban economy.
