Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud met Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Sunday for talks focused on evolving regional and international developments, officials said.
Dar received Prince Faisal at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the Saudi foreign minister’s official visit to Pakistan.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan's Foreign Office, the two leaders held detailed discussions on the evolving regional and international situation. They underscored the importance of dialogue, diplomacy and collective efforts to promote peace, security and stability in the region.
Reaffirming their commitment to closer engagement, both sides agreed to continue working together at bilateral and multilateral levels to further strengthen cooperation and contribute to regional peace and prosperity.
The Foreign Office said the visit reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to sustained dialogue, close coordination and enhanced cooperation in addressing evolving regional developments.
Earlier, Prince Faisal arrived in Islamabad at Dar’s invitation. Upon his arrival, he was received by Additional Secretary for the Middle East Syed Ahmad Maroof.
The visit comes as Islamabad hosts high-level consultations involving regional powers amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
