My journey from reporting to news anchor in these organisations was excellent. Now, I am working as a correspondent with Nukta in Islamabad, where I get the opportunity of in-depth journalism and storytelling while I am now covering parliamentary affairs, politics, and technology.

In a move to strengthen digital and technological cooperation, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have launched GO AI Hub Pakistan, a joint initiative aimed at advancing artificial intelligence, data infrastructure and human capital development.

The project - inaugurated in Islamabad on Saturday - represents a major step in expanding bilateral collaboration under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) framework, which continues to drive strategic partnerships between the two countries.

The high-profile ceremony was attended by Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Yahya bin Saleh Al-Mansour, CEO of Saudi Arabia’s GO Telecom (Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Company), senior SIFC officials, and leading figures from Pakistan’s technology sector.

Speaking at the event, Yahya bin Saleh Al-Mansour reaffirmed GO Telecom’s long-term commitment to supporting Pakistan’s digital transformation.

He noted that the launch of GO AI Hub builds upon recent high-level engagements during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Riyadh, where multiple MoUs were signed focusing on data center and AI infrastructure development, the GO Talent Hub, and the operationalization of this new initiative.

Officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of IT and Telecommunication (MoIT&T) and SIFC described the collaboration as a practical outcome of growing strategic alignment between Islamabad and Riyadh, translating bilateral intent into actionable progress.

They said the GO AI Hub will help accelerate Pakistan’s digital transformation and position both nations as key partners in the global innovation economy.
