Peshawar Zalmi registered an emphatic 76-run victory over Lahore Qalandars in the 19th match of the HBL PSL 2026 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Saturday, securing their fourth win of the ongoing tournament.

Chasing 174, Lahore Qalandars were bowled out for just 97 in 17 overs as Zalmi bowlers displayed an all-round show.

Lahore’s innings got off to a shaky start when Shoriful Islam removed opener Mohammad Naeem for one off two balls on the third delivery of the second over.

Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique rebuild the innings with a 39-run stand for the second wicket, but the partnership was broken when Nahid Rana dismissed Abdullah for 21 in the sixth over.

Fakhar Zaman was sent back in the following over after scoring 21, falling to Michael Bracewell.

The wickets continued to tumble as Haseebullah and Asif Ali were dismissed shortly afterwards by Bracewell and Sufiyan Muqeem respectively.

Haseebullah scored only three from eight balls, while Asif Ali departed without scoring, leaving Lahore struggling at 56-5 inside the first 10 overs, while Sikandar Raza scored 14 before becoming Bracewell’s third victim.

Sufiyan Muqeem then struck again to remove Shaheen Shah Afridi for five off seven balls, pushing Qalandars deeper into trouble at 67-7 in 11.4 overs.

Nahid Rana returned to claim his second wicket by dismissing Usama Mir for just one as Lahore’s collapse continued.

For Peshawar Zalmi, Sufiyan Muqeem and Michael Bracewell led the bowling attack with three wickets each. Nahid Rana picked up two wickets, while Aamer Jamal and Shoriful Islam claimed one apiece.

Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi made a steady start as openers Mohammad Haris and Babar Azam played positively in the early overs.

First innings

After being invited to bat first, Peshawar Zalmi made a steady start as Mohammad Haris and Babar Azam added quick runs in the opening overs.

Haris scored 18 off 10 balls, including two fours and a six, before Shaheen Afridi dismissed him in his second over.

After the early breakthrough, Babar Azam and Kusal Mendis put together a crucial 109-run partnership that laid the foundation of the innings.

Mendis looked in fine touch and scored a fluent 74 off 48 balls with five fours and four sixes, while Babar anchored the innings with a composed 43 off 40 deliveries before being dismissed by Usama Mir.

In the closing overs, Michael Bracewell provided momentum with a quick 21 off 10 balls. However, Lahore bowlers struck back with late wickets through Shaheen Afridi, Mustafizur Rahman and Ubaid Shah.

Zalmi eventually posted a competitive total of 173-7 in their 20 overs, with Iftikhar Ahmed unbeaten on seven at the end.
