Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a significant expansion of its United Kingdom operations with the resumption of direct flights to London after a gap of six years.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the national flag carrier will begin operating four weekly flights from Islamabad to London starting March 29. The flights will operate from Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4, one of the airport’s most modern terminals, aimed at providing improved facilities and convenience to passengers.
London holds special importance for PIA as it was the airline’s first-ever international destination and remains one of its most popular and commercially attractive routes. The resumption of flights is being seen as a major step toward restoring PIA’s presence on key international routes.
PIA is already operating three weekly flights to Manchester, and the addition of London services is expected to further strengthen connectivity between Pakistan and the UK, benefiting overseas Pakistanis, business travelers, and tourists.
The airline said the move reflects growing demand and renewed operational confidence in international markets.
