Pakistan commends UAE president for deepening bilateral ties
Ambassador Al-Zaabi thanked Pakistan for its support during his nine-year tenure, vowed to strengthen future ties

Pakistan on Monday praised the leadership of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for advancing closer bilateral relations, as the outgoing UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During the meeting at the Prime Minister's House, Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kiyani, SAPM Tariq Fatemi, and Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch were also present, the PM Office statement said.
Prime Minister Sharif congratulated Ambassador Al-Zaabi on completing his tenure and acknowledged his contributions to strengthening Pakistan-UAE ties.
He highlighted that the UAE President’s leadership has played a pivotal role in deepening the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries.
The prime minister noted recent initiatives aimed at enhancing cooperation, including visits by UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed, the convening of the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission, and the activation of a visa-free agreement for diplomatic and official passport holders.
He expressed anticipation for the UAE President’s official visit to Pakistan, which is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Ambassador Al-Zaabi expressed gratitude for the support and friendship he received during his nine-year tenure, praising the enduring partnership between Pakistan and the UAE. He reaffirmed his commitment to continuing efforts to enhance bilateral ties in the future.
