Pakistan's cricket authorities are currently deliberating on whether to relocate the HBL PSL X matches to Karachi or Dubai, sources reveal.
The authorities are engaged in consultations, carefully weighing different options to determine the best course forward for the tournament.
A decision is expected to be announced by 7pm today, and franchises will be informed accordingly.
Amidst these discussions, today's match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi in Rawalpindi has been postponed.
Meanwhile a well-placed source told this correspondent that the PCB is reviewing the situation and will be rescheduling the PSL matches.
Sources in Pindi told Nukta that one drone has fallen near Pindi Stadium.
“One drone has fallen near Pindi Stadium and it has created a big concern,” the source said.
Pindi had to host four more matches, also including the qualifier, while Lahore was supposed to host the two eliminators and final which was scheduled for May 18.
Multan was supposed to host the show between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators on May 11.
This situation emerged in the wake of India’s drone attacks on Pakistan’s soil.
Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed on Thursday that armed forces neutralized 12 Indian drones across multiple locations in the country.
In a press briefing the military's spokesperson said that on May 7 and 8, Indian drones attempted intrusions in various parts of the country.
“India last night took yet another blatant military act of aggression against Pakistan by sending Herap drones at multiple locations,” he said.
The drones were successfully neutralized in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Karachi, Chor, Miano and Attock, according to the DG ISPR.
The PSL X is at a crucial stage. Quetta Gladiators last night demolished Islamabad United by 109 runs to enter into the playoffs. Meanwhile, Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars are in line to compete for the remaining three playoff spots.
