Pakistan boasts a proud legacy in blind cricket, winning two out of five Blind ODI World Cups in 2002 and 2006.
Now, the spotlight turns to the T20 format as Pakistan is hosting its first T20 Blind Cricket World Cup, which started from November 23.
India, the reigning powerhouse with three T20 Blind World Cup titles, has historically been Pakistan's toughest competitor, defeating them in the finals of the first two editions and overcoming Bangladesh in the 2022 championship.
However, India has pulled out of this year’s tournament after failing to secure government clearance to travel to Pakistan.
With the absence of their fiercest rivals, could this be the perfect opportunity for Pakistan to emerge as the favorites and seize the trophy on home soil?
