United Arab Emirates President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone call to discuss strengthening strategic ties and addressing regional developments, including the ongoing crisis in Gaza, according to a statement.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation across various sectors, including artificial intelligence, advanced technology, infrastructure, and energy.

Their conversation followed the recent visit of Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, to the United States, which resulted in the announcement of key agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral partnerships.

One of the major announcements was the UAE’s commitment to a 10-year, $1.4 trillion investment framework in the United States. As part of these efforts, a key partnership was unveiled on Friday, March 21, following Sheikh Tahnoon’s meeting with Trump in the Oval Office on March 18.

The agreement involves UAE sovereign wealth fund ADQ, chaired by Sheikh Tahnoon, joining forces with U.S. private equity firm Energy Capital Partners to launch a $25 billion initiative focused on energy infrastructure and data centers in the United States.

Discussions also covered pressing regional and international issues, with a particular focus on efforts to secure a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and maintain stability in the Middle East.

Sheikh Mohamed stressed the urgency of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza in response to the worsening humanitarian crisis. He also reiterated the UAE’s support for a two-state solution as the foundation for a lasting and just peace in the region.

Both leaders emphasized their shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and promoting peace and prosperity on a global scale. Sheikh Mohamed affirmed the UAE’s dedication to fostering cooperation with the United States in pursuit of mutual development and stability.
