The UAE announced the launch of 13 major residential projects in Abu Dhabi worth AED106 billion, aimed at providing over 40,000 homes and residential plots for Emirati citizens, WAM reported.

The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority and the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre signed agreements with leading developers, including Aldar Properties, Bloom Holding, Modon Properties, Wahat Al Zaweya Real Estate, and IMKAN Properties.

The plan includes 25,244 housing units to be built within five years at a cost of AED94 billion, along with 14,876 residential plots valued at AED12 billion.

The projects will deliver six integrated communities in Abu Dhabi city (14,444 homes), five in Al Ain (10,480 homes), and two in the Al Dhafra region (320 homes). Each will feature essential facilities such as schools, mosques, parks, sports areas, and commercial centers, designed to meet sustainability goals and support family stability.

Officials said the developments reflect the leadership’s vision to enhance citizens’ quality of life and strengthen social cohesion. The Housing Authority also announced that Emiratis will be able to choose their preferred residential areas through a digital map-based system, with allocations expected within two years.

With these additions, the total number of new homes and plots under development by the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority will reach around 45,000, scheduled for completion by 2029.
