UAE and Turkey reaffirm commitment to deepen relations

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call on Sunday with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, president of Turkey, to discuss cooperation between the two countries, according to an official statement.
According to WAM, the leaders discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties in support of shared interests and for the benefit of their peoples, the statement said.
They reaffirmed their commitment to deepening United Arab Emirates–Turkey relations and to building on progress achieved across various areas, particularly development partnerships.
The call also covered a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern, including recent developments in the region and ongoing efforts to address them, the statement added.
