The United Arab Emirates has launched the Family Content Creators program to train social media influencers in producing family-focused digital content, Khaleej Times reported.

The Ministry of Family introduced the initiative in partnership with the New Media Academy, as the Gulf state steps up efforts to promote responsible online engagement.

What is the Family Content Creators program?

The Family Content Creators program equips influencers with digital storytelling and content production skills. It encourages messaging that promotes family cohesion, positive parenting and social responsibility, aligning content creation with the UAE's broader family wellbeing goals.

What did the UAE Minister of Family say about the initiative?

UAE Minister of Family Sana bint Mohammed Suhail said the initiative reflects the country's commitment to strengthening families and fostering a safer digital environment. She added that content creators have an increasingly important role in shaping online behavior.

Who was selected for the program, and what does the training cover?

More than 500 people applied for the program, and 62 participants were selected for an intensive four-week training camp. The training covers scriptwriting, storytelling, photography, video editing, publishing strategies, platform management and data analysis.

Following the training, 13 participants will be chosen for a seven-month incubation program. They will receive one-on-one mentoring and support to develop their digital platforms and long-term content strategies.

Who are the participants in the Family Content Creators program?

The participants include parents, young content creators and professionals working in family-related fields. These include teachers, paediatricians, social workers, family lawyers and specialists supporting People of Determination and senior citizens.

The initiative forms part of the UAE's broader efforts to encourage responsible digital content. It aims to strengthen the role of social media in promoting family wellbeing and social cohesion.
