The United Arab Emirates has begun loading a humanitarian aid vessel at Ras Al Khaimah Port as part of its ongoing relief effort for civilians in the Gaza Strip, WAM reported.

The vessel, the 12th under the Saqr Humanitarian Ship initiative, is being prepared by the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation in coordination with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, a UAE-led relief campaign launched to support Gaza amid the humanitarian crisis.

Once loading is completed, the ship is expected to sail to Egypt’s Al Arish port, where the assistance will be organized for onward delivery to Gaza, according to officials involved in the operation. Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 was launched under directives issued by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The cargo includes food supplies, medical aid, medicines, shelter materials and emergency relief packages, intended to help ease shortages faced by Gaza’s civilian population. The assistance is aimed in particular at vulnerable groups such as children, women and the elderly.

Officials said the latest shipment forms part of the UAE’s broader humanitarian response to the conflict, which has included airlifts, sea transport and coordination with international and regional relief organisations.
