The United Arab Emirates took part in the second Arab-India Energy Dialogue held in Goa, India, as part of initiatives to enhance strategic collaboration in the energy sector between India and the League of Arab States, while exploring new avenues for partnerships serving mutual interests, WAM reported.

The event featured high-level discussions with ministers, senior officials, and energy experts, focusing on ways to strengthen both bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and to identify emerging opportunities for collaboration across conventional and renewable energy sectors.

During the dialogue, Eng. Ahmed Al Kaabi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Electricity, Water, and Future Energy Sector at the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, underscored the significance of expanding joint efforts in traditional and clean energy, promoting oil and gas trade, and fostering sustainable long-term commercial partnerships that enhance regional and global energy security.

Al Kaabi also highlighted the UAE’s focus on renewable energy and clean technologies, including initiatives to integrate power grids, develop manufacturing value chains for renewable components, and encourage investment in India’s expanding renewable energy market.

He reaffirmed the UAE’s ongoing commitment to supporting international energy partnerships aimed at boosting energy security, advancing economic diversification, and accelerating the transition to more sustainable and resilient energy systems, reflecting the shared priorities of the Arab states and India.
