UAE intercepts more Iranian ballistic missiles, UAVs

The UAE’s air defense systems intercepted three ballistic missiles and eight unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran on Saturday.
Since the start of what authorities described as Iranian aggression, UAE air defenses have engaged a total of 341 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,748 drones.
The attacks have resulted in the deaths of two members of the armed forces while performing their national duty, as well as six civilians of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi and Palestinian nationalities.
A total of 160 people have also been injured, with wounds ranging from minor to severe. Those injured include nationals of the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Türkiye, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, Sweden and Tunisia.
The Ministry of Defence said it remains fully prepared to address any threats and will firmly counter attempts to undermine the country’s security, while ensuring the protection of its sovereignty, stability and national interests.
