The United Arab Emirates has reiterated that the Iranian community within its borders is an important and valued part of the country’s multicultural society, WAM reported.

Officials stressed that Iranian residents contribute to the nation’s social diversity and openness.

With more than 200 nationalities living in the UAE, the country emphasizes its long-standing commitment to coexistence, tolerance, and inclusive governance for all people who live and work there.

The statement comes amid recent inaccurate reports in some media outlets claiming changes to the residency status of Iranian expatriates. UAE authorities clarified that all immigration and residency matters are handled through established legal procedures designed to protect the safety and rights of every resident, regardless of nationality.

The Foreign Ministry also highlighted the UAE’s ongoing effort to maintain a stable, secure environment governed by the rule of law that upholds the rights of all communities.

The reaffirmation arrives against the backdrop of escalating conflict between Iran and the United States, which has intensified regional anxieties and heightened international scrutiny of Iranian diasporas across the Gulf.
