UAE retail investors reveal top financial goals for 2025
Many UAE retail investors are prioritizing portfolio diversification in the coming year.
As 2025 approaches, a survey by the trading platform eToro highlights the financial aspirations of UAE retail investors, with 54% listing financial goals as their top New Year’s resolution.
The survey, conducted with 1,000 investors across the Emirates, reveals a strong focus on growing investments in traditional assets, real estate, and cryptocurrencies, while also building financial resilience.
Investment priorities for 2025
A significant number of UAE retail investors are targeting portfolio diversification in 2025. The survey shows that 40% plan to increase investments in traditional assets like stocks, bonds, and commodities. Real estate remains a key preference, with 38% looking to expand property-related assets in their portfolios. Meanwhile, 37% expressed interest in boosting cryptocurrency investments, underscoring sustained interest in digital assets despite market volatility.
To achieve these objectives, investors are adopting strategies such as increasing savings and investment contributions (51%), detailed budgeting (41%), frugal living (38%), and cutting discretionary expenses (28%).
Entrepreneurial and career ambitions
The survey also underscores the entrepreneurial spirit among UAE investors: 32% plan to launch side hustles for additional income, while 28% are considering career changes to better align with their financial objectives.
Beyond finances, investors are focusing on personal growth (41%), health and well-being (34%), fitness (28%), and professional advancement (28%). This balanced approach reflects an emphasis on resilience and holistic growth.
