The United Arab Emirates will emerge "stronger" after the Middle East war, the president told Abu Dhabi TV in a rare address on Saturday, as Iran continued its retaliatory strikes across the Gulf.

The UAE "is in a period of war", Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan told the TV channel, but "we will emerge stronger".

In a "message to the UAE’s enemies", he said, "The UAE is beautiful. The UAE is a pioneer. I tell you, we will always be responsible for our UAE citizens and residents."

“In the UAE, everyone is Emirati through their love for this land,” he added.

To everyone who calls the UAE home, as well as our valued visitors: the safety and security of all citizens, residents, and guests remain the UAE’s foremost priority.

"By the grace of God, the nation is fully equipped to face any threats. I extend my heartfelt thanks to our courageous armed forces, dedicated security personnel, and all national institutions and teams working around the clock to safeguard our country," President Nahyan said.

He added that, "Their commitment and coordination reflect the highest standards of readiness, and we are deeply proud of their efforts. I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Emirati community and our resident partners, whose unwavering loyalty and support for the UAE are demonstrated in both words and actions."

During his visit to the injured at the hospital, he stated, “I came to see those affected by the recent events. Each of these individuals is a responsibility I carry personally.”

He prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. "With God’s blessing, the UAE—the land of Zayed—will remain strong in its unity, steadfast in defending its sovereignty, and steadily advancing towards the future," he said.

“Pardon us if we did not meet expectations, but we are in a time of war. I promise you that we will fulfil our responsibility to defend you, our people and our families.”

He emphasized that “the UAE remains strong and resilient,” noting that the nation is supported by “loyal people who stand firmly by it.” He also expressed gratitude to the armed forces for their “outstanding role” and acknowledged the dedication of all security agencies for their tireless efforts.
