Abu Dhabi’s ADQ, International Holding Company (IHC), and Modon Holding have formed a joint venture to launch Gridora, a new infrastructure platform aimed at accelerating private and public-private infrastructure projects across the UAE and beyond, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Operating under Modon Holding, Gridora will leverage the combined strengths of its founding partners in project origination, real estate, and asset management. The platform will focus on large-scale, high-impact infrastructure developments, working closely with expert partners and capital providers.

Dual focus: Projects and investments

Gridora is designed around a two-fold strategy: delivering major infrastructure projects while generating long-term investment returns. By overseeing the full infrastructure lifecycle — from early-stage planning to operations — Gridora aims to unlock new revenue streams and sustainable investment yields. “Abu Dhabi’s thriving economy and population growth demand world-class infrastructure,” said Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of Modon Holding.

Gridora will become a local and international champion for infrastructure delivery, powered by the shared expertise of ADQ, IHC, and Modon.

Strategic vision for the future

Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, MD and Group CEO of ADQ, said Gridora reflects ADQ’s long-term commitment to transformative development:

This platform will help unlock strategic value and drive innovation, while reinforcing our role in shaping the future of infrastructure in Abu Dhabi and beyond.

Syed Basar Shueb, CEO of IHC, added: “Gridora is a future-ready platform that combines innovation, scale, and collaboration. Infrastructure is key to unlocking economic value and encouraging greater private sector participation.”

Bill O’Regan, Group CEO of Modon Holding, emphasised the platform’s role in advancing smart, connected cities:

Gridora fast-tracks critical infrastructure and broadens the field of private sector partners. It’s a strategic tool to mobilize capital, speed up delivery, and create long-term value for all stakeholders.
