Heavy CGI criticized, social media users claim Disney is ruining the classic

Disney has announced the return of Snow White’s magical journey, hitting theaters on March 21, 2025. But the studio is already facing imminent backlash from fans, with the teaser trailer on YouTube receiving over 1.1 million dislikes, compared to just 87,000 likes.

Rachel Zegler stars as the iconic Snow White, while Gal Gadot plays the Evil Queen. Many fans have voiced disappointment, arguing that Gadot’s Evil Queen steals the spotlight from Zegler's Snow White.

Criticism has spread across platforms like YouTube and X (formerly Twitter), where users suggested alternate casting choices. As one X user put it, "The best actress for the role of Snow White would be Mackenzie Foy."

Fans have also slammed the film’s heavy use of CGI, with many saying that the 1937 classic still outshines the remake. "This is actually hilarious. The first Snow White saved Disney, and the second ruined it," a YouTube commenter remarked. Others noted YouTube’s choice to hide dislikes could be a direct response to the backlash.
