The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has added four players to Pakistan's Test squad for the upcoming two-match series against Sri Lanka, with Aamir Jamal returning to the side alongside three uncapped players.

Pace-bowling all-rounder Jamal, rookie fast bowler Ali Shabbir, batter Muhammad Tayyab Arif and pacer Saqib Khan have been included in the squad following impressive performances in domestic cricket.

Meanwhile, Ali Usman and Abdullah Fazal have been released from the squad.

Tayyab, Ali and Saqib have earned their maiden Pakistan call-ups. The trio also featured in the three-day practice match between the Patron's XI and Sri Lanka at the Islamabad Club from November 4 to 6.

The opening Test is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 9, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The two-match series will be part of Pakistan's upcoming home Test commitments.

How have the four players performed in domestic cricket?

Jamal, who has represented Pakistan in nine Tests, three ODIs and six T20Is, recently played a decisive role in Markhor IT Solutions' President's Trophy Grade-I title triumph.

Tayyab, meanwhile, enjoyed an impressive maiden season in the Departmental first-class tournament, scoring 727 runs in seven matches at an average of 66.09.

The right-handed batter, who led Kingsmen Academy, registered three centuries during the campaign.
