Pakistan and seven other Muslim-majority countries on Sunday strongly condemned what they described as Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire in Gaza, warning the actions threaten regional stability and international peace efforts.

In a joint statement issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates said the violations had resulted in the killing and injury of more than a thousand Palestinians.

The ministers expressed grave concern that continued breaches could escalate tensions at a sensitive time when regional and international stakeholders are working to advance the second phase of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan and to implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.

According to the statement, the foreign ministers viewed Israel’s repeated actions as a direct threat to the political process and a major obstacle to efforts aimed at stabilizing the Gaza Strip.

They said the violations were hindering progress toward improving security conditions and addressing the urgent humanitarian situation in the territory.

The statement stressed the need for full commitment by all parties to ensure the success of the second phase of the peace plan and called for strict adherence to the ceasefire agreement.

The ministers urged all sides to exercise maximum restraint, uphold their responsibilities during this critical period and refrain from actions that could derail the current process.

They emphasized the importance of creating conducive conditions for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza.

Reaffirming support for a just and lasting peace, the foreign ministers said any sustainable solution must be based on the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and statehood, in line with international law, relevant U.N. Security Council resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
