Pakistan issued a strong condemnation on Thursday against a deliberate and unlawful drone incursion launched from Afghan territory.
In response, the Pakistan Armed Forces executed precision aerial and drone strikes against 10 military locations inside Afghanistan utilized for launching and storing unmanned platforms.
How did Pakistan's air defenses respond to the drone incursion?
According to an official statement issued under the update header "Ghazab lil Haq" by Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, Pakistani Air Defence systems detected, tracked, and intercepted all intruding aerial platforms on September 23 before they could impact their intended targets.

Instead of dismantling these networks and taking credible and verifiable action against those using Afghan territory to perpetrate terrorism against Pakistan, the Afghan Taliban regime has chosen to escalate the situation through hostile drone operations against Pakistan. Pakistan’s Air Defence systems detected, tracked and neutralised all intruding platforms before they could reach any of their intended targets, comprehensively thwarting the attempted attack. In exercise of its sovereign right to self-defence, Pakistan conducted precision aerial and drone strikes against 10 locations in Afghanistan used for launching and storing these drones. The strikes were deliberate, precise, calibrated and proportionate and strictly limited to identified military objectives directly linked to the attempted attacks against Pakistan. Pakistan will neither accept nor tolerate attacks launched from Afghan territory, whether by terrorist groups or by the Afghan Taliban regime itself. Any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with an immediate and decisive response. Threats, denials or attempts to deflect responsibility by Afghan Taliban will neither alter the facts nor constrain Pakistan’s inherent right to defend its territory, its people and its national security. Pakistan calls upon the Afghan Taliban regime to immediately cease all hostile activity against Pakistan and fulfil its international obligations by taking effective, concrete, verifiable and sustained action against terrorist entities operating from Afghan soil. Afghan territory must not be used to launch attacks or conduct hostile operations against Pakistan. Pakistan does not seek escalation and remains committed to regional peace, dialogue and constructive engagement. This commitment must not be mistaken for weakness or an unlimited tolerance of hostile actions. Pakistan will defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity and the lives of its citizens with full resolve and will take all necessary measures to protect them. Exercising its sovereign right to self-defense, Pakistan carried out counter-strikes that military authorities described as "deliberate, precise, calibrated, and proportionate," strictly targeting identified military infrastructure linked directly to the attempted cross-border aggression.
What warnings did Islamabad issue to the Afghan Taliban administration?
Islamabad highlighted that it has repeatedly conveyed serious security concerns regarding terrorist sanctuaries and support networks operating from Afghan soil. Instead of taking verifiable action to dismantle these networks, Pakistan accused the Afghan Taliban administration of escalating tensions through direct and proxy hostile drone operations.
Islamabad emphasized that it will not tolerate attacks launched from Afghan territory by either militant proxy groups or the Taliban regime itself. While reiterating that Pakistan does not seek regional escalation and remains open to constructive engagement, officials warned that any further provocative acts would draw an immediate and decisive response
