Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Thursday, on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly to advance implementation of the landmark Makkah Joint Defence Agreement (MJDA).

During the consultations, the foreign ministers strongly condemned recent hostile attacks targeting Saudi civilian infrastructure, economic facilities, and holy sites. To operationalize collective defense commitments following escalated long-range missile and drone strikes against the kingdom, the three ministers announced plans for an urgent meeting of their respective Chiefs of Staff to coordinate support mechanisms and military cooperation.
