The State Bank of Pakistan announced on Thursday it will issue a commemorative PKR75 coin to mark the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.
The coin will be available to the public from May 25 through exchange counters at SBP Banking Services Corporation field offices across the country.
What is the Pakistan-China commemorative coin and when can you get it?
The PKR75 commemorative coin will be released on May 25, 2026, through SBP Banking Services Corporation field offices.
It marks 75 years since Pakistan and China formally established diplomatic relations on May 21, 1951, the foundation of what both countries describe as an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.
The coin was issued following a government decision to officially celebrate the anniversary.
What does the PKR75 Pakistan-China coin look like?
The coin is round with serrated edges, made of 75% copper and 25% nickel, weighing 19 grams and measuring 36 millimeters in diameter.
The obverse features Pakistan's crescent and star at the center, with "Islami Jamhuria Pakistan" in Urdu along the upper edge. The year 2026 appears below the crescent alongside wheat sprigs, with the face value "75" and the word "Rupia" in Urdu on either side.
The reverse bears the inscription "75th Anniversary of Pakistan and China Diplomatic Relations" along the upper edge and "Trust Friendship Support" along the lower edge.
The national flags of both countries appear in the center above an artistically designed numeral "75." The years "1951" and "2026" flank the numeral, with inscriptions in Urdu and Chinese marking the themes of trust, friendship and cooperation.
