Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, met Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X Corp (formerly Twitter) in Dubai on Thursday to discuss potential collaborations in digital transformation and innovation.

The meeting, held at Emirates Towers, highlighted Dubai’s ambition to position itself as a global hub for technology and media. With the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 aiming to generate AED 100 billion annually through digital transformation over the next decade, Sheikh Hamdan underlined the importance of partnerships with major tech companies like X Corp to achieve these goals.

"Since opening its first MENA office in Dubai in 2015, X has been a valued partner. We look forward to strengthening ties with @elonmusk, and the leadership team at X," the crown prince said in a statement posted on X.

The discussions explored synergies that could enhance the UAE’s digital media landscape and drive technological advancements.

Dubai, which hosts over 4,000 media and tech companies, offers a dynamic ecosystem for global firms to innovate and expand their reach in the region.

he platform, which now has 250 million daily active users globally, considers the MENA region one of its largest markets.

The meeting was attended by UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications and Director-General of the Dubai Crown Prince’s Office.

This engagement reflects Dubai’s broader strategy to strengthen ties with global tech leaders and cement its role as a key player in shaping the future of digital innovation.
