Under the National Youth Agenda 2031’s ‘Society and Values’ pillar, the Youth Social Missions Program seeks to build skills and awareness among Emirati youth.

The UAE has deployed the first group of participants under its new Youth Social Missions Programme, sending Emirati volunteers to Al Arish, Egypt, as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 — the country’s flagship humanitarian effort for the Palestinian people, WAM reported.
The mission, inaugurated on World Humanitarian Day, was launched by the Federal Youth Authority in the presence of Dr. Sultan Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs. Al Neyadi commended the volunteers’ readiness to represent the UAE in one of the world’s most crisis-affected regions, stressing that humanitarian work must be embedded in younger generations to prepare them as “ambassadors of giving and global peace.”
He said the initiative reflects the UAE’s vision of empowering youth to play an active role in international relief efforts, highlighting their contribution as “a shining example of a generation carrying profound humanitarian responsibility.”
According to the Federal Youth Authority, the program is designed to provide practical training and field exposure to Emirati youth. Their tasks in Egypt include preparing and distributing food, water and medical supplies, supporting logistics teams, and assisting with the UAE Lifeline pipeline that provides clean water to around 600,000 Palestinians in Gaza. Volunteers will also contribute to psychosocial support and direct relief operations in coordination with official partners on the ground.
Rashid Ghanem Al Shamsi, Director of Empowerment at the Federal Youth Authority, said the initiative represents a milestone in building youth capacity for humanitarian, development and cultural missions. “It equips young Emiratis with real-world experience, enabling them to contribute effectively to global challenges while reinforcing the UAE’s leadership in humanitarian action,” he said.
Part of the National Youth Agenda 2031 under the ‘Society and Values’ pillar, the Youth Social Missions Program aims to develop the skills and awareness of Emirati youth, preparing them for long-term participation in international humanitarian and development initiatives while strengthening the UAE’s global presence.
