The UAE-India Business Council has rolled out its 2026 action plan aimed at strengthening long-term strategic collaboration between the two countries, building on the momentum generated over the past year.

The new roadmap is anchored in three core areas: policy-driven knowledge development, strategic facilitation, and hands-on engagement, according to WAM.

Planned initiatives include the development of practical policy studies covering artificial intelligence adoption, infrastructure development, sovereign wealth fund participation, evolving consumer trends and global supply chains, alongside collaborative projects across African markets.

During 2025, the Council hosted the first-ever India-UAE: Partners in Progress Conclave, bringing together senior government officials, investors and business leaders. It also convened a high-level closed-door dialogue in Dubai with India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, helping align policy priorities and reinforce shared economic objectives.

Progress was also reported on key social initiatives, including the UAE-India Friendship Hospital, as well as expanded support for healthcare and social infrastructure. In the education sector, the Council advanced its community outreach through the DREAM School initiative in Kashmir, focused on improving access to education and skills development.

The Council plans to spearhead policy consultations and two-way trade delegations to accelerate cooperation in priority sectors such as advanced manufacturing, clean energy, fintech and healthcare innovation, supporting the shared ambition of lifting bilateral trade and investment to $200 billion.

As part of its forward agenda, the Council will also contribute to the World Governments Summit 2026, underscoring its role in translating policy vision into tangible economic outcomes within the UAE-India partnership.
