The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expanded its visa-on-arrival program for Indian nationals, allowing entry to those holding valid visas, residence permits, or Green Cards from six additional countries, according to Emirates News Agency WAM.
Effective February 13, 2025, Indian citizens with ordinary passports and valid documents from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada became eligible for visas upon arrival at all UAE entry points.
This expands the existing list, which already includes the United States, European Union, and United Kingdom.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security announced the expansion, emphasizing the strong ties between the UAE and India. The initiative aims to boost tourism, attract skilled workers, top talent, and entrepreneurs, and reinforce the UAE’s status as a global hub.
To qualify for the visa-on-arrival, Indian travelers must have at least six months of passport validity and pay the required fees in accordance with UAE regulations
