Bears dominated the Pakistan Stock Exchange this week after the State Bank surprised markets by holding the policy rate steady.

Investor sentiment was further dampened by Fauji Fertilizer Company’s weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter results. Coupled with futures rollover pressure, the benchmark index shed 4,993 points, or 2.6%, closing at 184,174.
