UAE announces 14 rules to follow during national day celebrations

As the UAE braces for a long weekend of national celebrations, the UAE Ministry of Interior has announced the guidelines and regulations for celebrating the 53rd Eid Al Etihad.

Festivities will begin this weekend, with official celebrations scheduled for Monday, December 2. The celebrations will extend over four days, from Saturday, November 30, to Tuesday, December 3.

The guidelines shared by the Ministry aim to ensure safety and enjoyment for all citizens and residents participating in the special national weekend.

14 rules to follow

1. Residents should not organize or participate in unapproved marches or gatherings.

2. For safety reasons, the use of sprays such as foam or paint during celebrations is not allowed.

3. Vehicle license plates must remain clearly visible at all times.

4. Vehicles should not exceed their passenger and load capacity to ensure a smooth and safe ride.

5. Feel free to decorate your vehicle, but only with stickers or logos specifically related to Eid Al Etihad.

6. Modifications to vehicles that could create noise or reduce visibility are prohibited.

7. Residents are advised to drive safely and avoid performing stunts to ensure the celebrations remain enjoyable for everyone.

8. Scarves worn during the celebrations should be designed with Eid Al Etihad in mind.

9. Celebrate with pride by raising only the UAE flag for Eid Al Etihad.

10. Keep songs and chants at a reasonable volume, and stick to those officially linked to Eid Al Etihad.

11. To avoid traffic issues, it's best to refrain from rallies and ensure roads remain clear for all.

The UAE government recently confirmed a four-day weekend for Eid Al Etihad, giving residents a break from Friday, November 29, to Tuesday, December 3. Regular work schedules will resume across the country on Wednesday, December 4.
